FormGenie Target Odds

Essentially FormGenie Target Odds is where we (FormGenie algorithms) have calculated a True-Odds or ‘FormGenie Odds’ value and displayed it in the bottom row of each runners details. The concept is to only Back if you can match the Target Odds or Lay if you cannot match the FormGenie Target Odds. Note FormGenie Odds are FormGenie calculated odds, whereas Forecast Odds are industry calculated (as seen in daily papers and on oddschecker). We have linked a Live Odds feed to this area and you will notice a green tick to indicate when the current best odds match or exceed our FormGenie Target Odds and a red cross where the live odds are lower than the FormGenie Target Odds (only valid at the time the page first loads). These values exclude BetFair at the moment, but we are aiming to bring this online soon. Over time you will be backing good value horses and laying poor value horses.

Lay Strategy: We already know that at least 50% of ALL winners will come from those ranked as TOP or DUTCH by FormGenie (this is a very strong long-term stat over 60,000 past races rated by FormGenie). As such this provides us with an excellent opportunity to concentrate on the others marked as NOBET. (to view 'ALL' you need to change the drop-down list in the centre to 'ALL'). Laying these NOBETs when they trade below their ‘FormGenie Target Odds’ is proving an excellent strategy in early testing (though you may need to cap the max lay price to something that suits you and definitely lower than 12!). This feature is particularly useful when using our FormGenie-Bot (approved by Betfair for use exclusively on the exchange) where you can opt to LAY these runners if they trade at any set percentage below FormGenie Odds.
